» Khambir - flat wheat flour bread; similar to the Indian naan bread.

» Thukpa - flat wheat flour noodles cooked in broth with vegetables.

» Mok-Mok - steamed dumplings containing vegetables or meat.

» Skyu - tsampa/wheat flour dumplings cooked with vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables are seasonal; Ladakh is famous for its sweet apricots and apples.  Eggs are eaten in some monasteries/nunneries.
