RIZONG MONASTERY

A new school has been built at the foot of the monastery and contains classrooms, hall, washrooms and house all the school teachers.  Food is simple but delicious and nutritious. 

Generally the morning will be spent teaching the younger monks.  After school you will teach English to the other teachers (apart from the principal).  A high knowledge of English grammar is required for this class.

There is also the opportunity for you to take lessons in Buddhist Philosophy from Ven. Konchok Wangdus and Rizong's isolation offers excellent opportunities for meditation.  Note that there are no telephone facilities.
